Steppin' Easy.

I've been trying to craft my PERFECT go-to outfit for the past few weeks.

I want something that uses the littttlest amount of brainpower but takes the greatest of easy to put together (I'm saving those precious, delicious brain cells for when tax time rolls around).

I THINK I have found one such outfit and it only take 5(ish) parts to make.
Giant Screamer's Formula For Easssy Dressing:
001/ A pull-on dress: I borrowed my sister's H&M mud+black color block dress when we went thrift store-ing/LA exploring this past weekend. It's not fussy; it compliments my skin tone; and it shows juuust enougn thigh that, when I'm sitting down, it makes it only slightly inappropriate.

002/ Black tights. A duh-doy. I like an opaque one, a patterned one, a knit one... whatever. As long as it conceals the vag area when I'm sitting, IT'S GOOD.

003/ Dark shoes. I borrowed my sister's RATTY hi-top Chuck's, but I coulda easily gone with my black+multi colored oxford Osborns, or my satin black Puma's, or my newfound TUK Creeee-pppers! I sang out that last part (pictures to come).

004/ Denim jacket. Everybody has one. If you don't, then you must be a caveman, because, really? REALLY?

005/ Accessories. My mom's dressing philosophy is to wear a plain outfit and then "accessorize! accessorize! accessorize!" An interesting necklace (like my leather medicine pouch from Mountain Mike's in Idyllwild, CA, or any of the ones that Jaaa posted up) makes this kinda boring dress not so... boring. The sunglasses (the flat $5 ones my sister raved about here) are comical and they hide my face. And the purse- if you're a lady, bring a cute one around, yah?

Me waving "GOODBYE!":

**BECAUSE THE DRUMS IN THIS SONG ARE SOOOO SICK:
I have re-established my love for HEALTH's song, Crimewave. Those drums... with this video... oooo guuurl, please!
It just makes me want to dance like this:
or like this:

or maybe even a little bit like this:

Papa's Got A Brand New Bag.

I think I've become less witty since the beginning of the new year.

Since my BRAAAIN won't give me a proper intro for this post... NO FUNNY FOR YOU. Or you, and you, and you.

Let's get on with this then.
--
I got new purse. Ooops. "Look at banner, Michael." I mean, I bought myself a Collina Strada bag in a washed out grey.

And it's the bag of my disappointing dreams.

Is it worth its original $350 price tag? Soft cheesus, NO.

Is it worth the discounted $99 I got it for during the holiday sales? Sure, why not?

I mean, it holds ALL my shit, and my shit content rivals that of Mary Poppins and Hermione Granger.
+Overcoat: Anna Sui for Target. (finally came in hannndy)
+ON jeggings.
+Bass Saddle Shoes (another new-ish purchase).

**BECAUSE JAYA NEVER WANTS ME TO SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY.

Why?

Because she got me watching another damn British TV shooooow! She already talked about Law & Order UK (Ronny Brookes: you be my old, OLD man boo), which is AWWESOME (no guns! constables! wigs! james steele!).

Newest obsession? MISFITS. The premise sounds like crazy shit, but trust me... trust me.
I knooow people are gonna say, "Ohhh, you only like it because it's BRITISH."

Uh, YA. Duh-doy. A UK series/season only last 6 episodes (so each episode means something)... and they got BOMB music.

Proof? Here's the sexy time music used during sexy time between two of the characters:
Haters gonna hate.

1st Of Tha Month.

This is, like, 8 days late, but HAPPY 2011.

How's the new decade been treating everyone so far?

I started off the New Year with a sickface and mildly irritating cough, but other than that, my body is slowly shifting back from overactive holiday mode to chillaxing status.

I literally gots NOTHING to post so... here's how I spent my holidays:
"I MUST BREAK YOU."

I'm not reallllly into retrospectives and "Best Of..." lists (unless it's done by VH1- someone call them up to do a "Best Of 'I Love Kaya in 2010'" edition, cuz that would be riiidiculous!) when it comes to outfit posts, because what's the point? You already saw it! You don't need to this pretty mug 12 times over in one post.

Sooo here's a little BTNH to start off the new year. And ignore the welfare overtones... that's depressing.
This would have been legitimately awesome if I posted this on the 1st of the month!:

LET'S KILL IT IN 2011 PEOPLE!
